About the Artist
A Lafayette native, Nicholas Frederick earned a BFA in Painting and Drawing at Louisiana State University in 2009, and has since kept a steady art practice. He has lived in New York, New Mexico, and California and has been awarded several artist residencies and grants. Frederick’s work is in the permanent collections of Louisiana State University and the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art in New Mexico, and has been shown in New York, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, and Vermont. After years working in art museums variously as Preparator, Registrar, and Guest Curator, Frederick once again lives and works in Acadiana.
