Atrium Gallery Opens Featuring Paintings By Stephen Frederick
We couldn’t be more excited to open the doors of the new Atrium Gallery. We founded this gallery to provide an independent, commercial outlet for the exhibition and sale of works by contemporary Louisiana artists in the heart of the Downtown Lafayette Cultural District.
Atrium’s current exhibition showcases the ethereal landscape paintings of Abbeville artist, Stephen L. Frederick. The collection—spanning five decades of his creative work—includes six, new oil paintings in his singular, idiosyncratic style. Frederick’s scenes from the lush landscape of his native Vermilion Parish reflect the mystical allure of our natural surroundings with a contemporary flair, while being rooted in the elegant style of French Romanticism.
The gallery, located at 100 E. Vermilion St. Suite 150, will be open on weekdays from 1 - 5:30 p.m. and by appointment. Visitors can access the Gordon Square building via the Jefferson Street or East Vermilion Street entrances and proceed to the first-floor atrium. Parking is available on both streets, as well as the nearby Parc Auto Du Centre-Ville garage.
